Roman temple of Gods, the Pantheon has inspired the Architecture that followed in numerous ways. Brunelleschi and Michelangelo studied this structure while designing the dome at the Florence Cathedral and St.Peter's Cathedral.
This shallow dome, equal in radius to its height, gives it the perfect proportion. The circualr opening (oculus) lets in the only light.
